Science Editing

As Senior Editor at The Science Writer, an online magazine edited and published by alumni of the Johns Hopkins University Master of Arts in Science Writing program, I had the honor of working with graduate student science writers. My focus was on evaluating pitch submissions, selecting the draft pieces and then guiding authors on the story's developmental edits and narrative structure, and ensuring that the story had all the necessary research and literary elements, including concise and engaging language. I was honored to have served as a founding alumni member of The Science Writer's Editorial Board.

These are links to the most recent science writing pieces I edited in The Science Writer's Enigma Issue:

More than a Murmer

Creating a Forecast for Seizures

Uncivil Political Discourse

The Riddle of Cancer Development

The Power of Negative Belief

There are additional examples of science articles I edited for The Science Writer below.
